Our Story

Truda Bam 

Truda’s story started in Oudtshoorn where she grew up on one of the most beautiful farms in the ‘Klein Karoo’. She fondly remembers her childhood and is still a Karoo girl at heart.

In 1999 she moved to Stellenboch and completed her BA Fine Arts (Jewellery Design) degree at the University of Stellenbosch.

Truda likes the creative process of combining elements to create a single piece and loves working with metal. She enjoys the challenge of designing a jewellery piece that speaks to the client’s personality.

Truda describes herself as someone who likes fine detail and somewhat unconventional. She loves making beautiful things.

Lady Peculiar was established in 2007 in the picturesque Stellenbosh.
